FAQ
Hello!
I’m new to yoga/strength training, etc…is this class for me?
Absolutely. Our yoga is a mellow all levels flow and our stroller strong class is designed with the freshly postpartum mom in mind with options for additional challenge if you’re feeling it.
What if I’m late or can’t make it to class?
I can’t tell you how many classes I’ve signed my toddler up for and missed because of sleep issues, illness or just our vibe was off. I’m always happy to reschedule you to a different day if you miss the cancellation window. As far as lateness…you could walk in with 10 minutes left in class and I’d be stoked to see you. I totally get the challenge of getting out the door with kids (one of my biggest current hurdles) and you’re welcome to join in at anytime.
What if my kid doesn’t want to stay in the stroller for a Stroller Strong class?
We’ll be at Compass Park with plenty of grassy space. I’ll be bringing some toys for our adventurous friends and they’re welcome to pop out and play or even follow along with the class. I just ask that you keep them in your eyesight.
What does the Mini and Me Yoga class look like with the inclusion of older kids? What if my child is loud or rambunctious?
Each class starts off with 10 minutes of playtime/easing in. Come in, set up your mat and explore with your kiddo. There will be lots of toys in the room for them to play with or they can even roll out a mat alongside you. After 10 minutes parents make their way to their mat to begin practice and kids are welcome to keep playing or join their parents. Our class is in a very large room so they’re always in your sight and vice versa. They’re free to explore and play or hangout with you throughout the flow, there’s no expectation of them other than to be safe and kind! Feel free to change diapers as needed, grab a snack or feed your babe. There’s a gentle chaos that comes with having a room full of babies and toddlers while we practice but no one minds, we’re all in the same boat.
Are dads/non birthing partners/grandparents welcome to come to Mini and Me Yoga?
YES! While the postpartum body is kept in mind when creating our yoga flow, it’s not a postnatal class. Both parents are welcomed as are your own parents.
What does virtual personal training look like?
It can look a few different ways! I could join you for a workout over zoom and offer some live coaching on form and encouragement. It could be working together to build a workout plan to reach specific goals like building strength or healthy habits. We can check in weekly or monthly or not at all once your plan is set up! Send me a message and let’s chat.
What about in home personal training?
My main goal is for you to feel supported and have some time carved out for YOU. I do all the heavy lifting from bringing the equipment, writing the workout plan (based on your likes/preferences/goals) and take care of the cleanup after. Your little one might be napping or playing in the room with us. I’m happy to bring some of my own toys to entertain them or if you want to pop on their favorite show or movie so you can focus please know there is no judgment. This could be personal training for one person or your group of mom friends and their kids.
